Alright folks,

Here is a question for you al. What do you cover your garage floor with? Paint? Carpet? Foam pads?

The carpet in my garage is 2 carpets deep and covered in years of grease and grime.

I just wanted something to ease the burden on the old knees?

What does everyone else use.

I have reclaimed? plastic interlocking tiles and use a kneeling pad or larger foam mat for laying down. They have been down for four years and are still good, jacking and axle stands do not harm them.Steve..

It eases "Ye Olde Knees" a bit, if you wear trousers instead of a Kilt.

We use floor paint and then kneeling mats or knee pads.

Carpet would be good in a heated garage though

I generally alternate between knee pads which are most convenient but make your knees sweaty , and a foam kneeling pad which never seems to be in the quite the right place, and then just throwing all that to one side and carrying on without anything until it hurts too much to go on

that's when I pack up and finish for the day and spend all the next day hobbling about making noises about getting old

it's not perfect but it works for now

I've got a painted floor and use what I believe are foam yoga mats to kneel/lay on, they are really good in the winter as well to stop the cold transferring.

Well I have used a yoga mat that the wife went through the fad of attempting to try and get fit....

I used it and actually fell asleep under the car for at least an hour.

Strange wakening up under a car but I highly recommend it for getting away from the wife and kids....
