Hi all,

I need to fill two small holes in a bracket (non mini related) then then have a it powder coated.

I was going to buy this, but the one bad review put me off.

Hence does anyone know the best filler that will withstand powder coating?

You can't powder coat over filler as it won't stand the heat need to melt (powder coat is powdered plastic that's melted to form a coating) and wont conduct (even the metal stuff) for the electro static charge to attract the powder in the first place.

I thought the point was it stuck to the metal because of electric charge so at the very least it needs to be conductive, that's easy enough to check with continuity tester I suppose

is it not possible to weld up the holes and flush back with a grinder or finger sander ?

ah sorry I was going by your info under the picture

shame, I was gonna say if you can pop to me one evening I could easily fill a couple of holes

the other option is I guess how complicated is the bracket in terms of just making new ones (or.. drill a few more lightweight making holes and pretend it's supposed to be like that  )
