Just a quick one, not been on here for an awful long time but have just purchased some running gear and thinking of making a speedster. The one in the pic is just utter perfection, had a check and I don't think the owner is still active on here? Is the car still around? Many thanks, Phil.

According to the Gov website the MOT on this car expired in 2008.

I remember parking next to this at a car show and when it got judged they asked to see his spare wheel … No problem came the answer he went to his toolbox and pulled out a tin of tyre weld .

Then a look of confusion on the judges face when it came to judging the doors….windows…..roof lining……mats ….and so on ..I remember the owner saying to the judge good luck in finding anything on your list .

I also remember chatting with the owner for quite a while during the day , really nice guy and the quality of the workmanship was second to none very impressive.

this car belongs to Gavin Wakley,

unfortunatly it got bent some years back as it was on a trailer that came unhitched.... I know at some point he was sorting it out, but not heard anything for a few years... sometimes life gets in the way of projects!

I belive he knew Paul Wiginton quite well, who has that dark mlue minisprint that also got bent at santa pod when it went backwards into the wall... he's also been sorting that out... but again projects....
