Has anyone on here experienced or know of an issue with the Coil Pack/Distributor on an MPI frying itself?

 

Yesterday, mine was on the verge of spontaneously combusting, billowing out thick, acrid smoke.

Never seen it myself, but that's not to say it can't happen. He primary coil can break down and get very hot. I'd change the pack to a known working spare or new one.
