Trying to touch up a few bits of paint damage and paint bubbling, however I am looking for recommendations of the best place to buy paint from that will match the original rover colour and is in a aerosol can. I went to the local car paint shop who colour scanned the car, and mixed a few cans up, however they are not spraying nicely.

I have used these people in the past .I gave them the Rover Codes for the paint I need and the match was perfect. I ordered rattle cans.

I've used paints4u on other vehicles and its been a decent match. One vehicle had faded and obviously the paint didnt match but generally they are pretty good.

I struggle with their website but they have stuff on ebay too

Can't beat Jawels local to me if it's any help. Used him for years.

paints4u 100%, with cans it's all in the prep, and decent clear.

Do your own research on a mask and then your good to go, secret is getting a good clear brand.

thanks all for the recommendations, the issue i've been having is with the quality of the spray cans I originally purchased as they were spitting, rather than giving a nice even spray.

Make sure you shake the for long enough, at least the 2 mins that's usually recommended. Any solids or thicker paint that settles as the bottom of the aerosol can be drawn up the tube and quickly block the nozzle. Also as the weather is getting colder it helps if you store them in the house at least overnight before using them ... assuming the house is an okay temperature!

I shook mine every couple of minutes while sitting in luke warm water for half an hour and for 3-4 minutes just before using and had no problems.(That was in December so not exactly that warm))

That was for all the preparation coats up to the final top coats which were done at a body shop.
