    Starting My Mini Up

Hello, I'm having a big issue with my Mini. It struggles to start.

I've an ex Spi Mini that was converted some time ago to carburator, following this tutorial https://www.minimani..._to_Carburetors

Only difference is that it doesn't have the fuel pressure regulator but it has an external low pressure pump. It also has a regular carb Lucas dizzy, coil and the external relay wired as shown in the link and in the picture. ECU was removed.

The car settled for about 2 years and just before stopping it started giving me some stating issue. The car struggles to start and the starter motor (maybe the solenoid) clicks a lot, like when you have a very low battery.

I made some tests and it has a constant 0.15A battery drain with IGN off. Also I've a voltmeter in the car that shows about 10/11V while the voltage I measure on battery poles with multimeter is about 13.5V.

After some further reaserches I found that the battery drain and the voltmeter misreading disappear if I disconnect the smaller relay pack connector. Obviously the engine won't crank if it's diconnected. Further more I found that if I connect only the white/pink cable (which is the upper right pin of the smaller connector) something in the relay pack clicks (with battery conncected and IGN off) and it makes the drainage to appear again.

I don't know what is going on, I think something in the relay box is wrong (I know they're prone to brake).

I don't think I need the relay pack anymore and maybe I can use a standard starter relay instead wiring it to the ignition switch. The only problem I've is that I don't understand wiring/electrical stuff and there are several cables coming out the big and small relay pack connectors. Maybe there's a way to use existing cables from the ignition switch.

I hope someone can help me

Thank you
