Hi guys. Do you know if in the past, let's say 60s and 70s, if there were turbo charged engine builds and tested? If yes, do you have photos or links? Thanks.

short version basically yes (and planes have been using then since WW2) but they were generally a bit rubbish in cars until the 70's and 80's

Many minis were used to film The Italian Job and I believe the two used to jump the Fiat factory were Turbos . Janspeed developed a turbo kit  probably late 70's that lead to the Metro turbo.
