2000 reg mpi

reinstalling the dash/wiring.

there is a black box (70x50x20mm) no markings/numbers of any sort.

All the single cores go to the +ive of the dash switches there are two connectors that attach to the dash loom and the temp/oil gauge loom and a single core to the radio.

Its obviously something to do with the illumination....but what.

AND i planned to mount it to the underside of the plate just above the heater, right behind the switches. is this correct (will it do).

Thanks

chris

Its a switch illumination kit, the lights in the switches come on dim when the headlights are on. I recommend it.

only problem brake test switch is supposed to illuminate constant (push to test) if you lose brake fluid. does this box bypass that or only light switches up dimly

I have contacted a few other places and looked around the web but nothing!
Does anyone know how this used to work/have a wiring diagram so I could possibly get one made up

I'm sure MiniSpares used to sell those too - maybe a PM to either [email protected] or gav and they might still have instructions on file?

Yeah contacted minispares and they have advised they are no longer available, I have asked if they knew who made them originally also.

Simon@Minispares has confirmed the guy that made them has retired and closed the business. Now I need to find someone that knows how it worked and can make me a 1 off

Do you have a photo of it?

It sounds like something that will be relatively easy to make.
