Just a short video with a few home truths in it, but don`t let that put you off owning the greatest ever car!

Good point about the fuel filler.

I didn't do much rallying, it was somehow a bit unsatisfactory to think that a corner should have been taken faster, but no next time with a chance to do better, as on a race track, so on my 1071 S, I moved the fuel filler from the outside edge of the tank to the other side of the seam, so that it pointed to the rear through a repositioned hole, to give myself a bit more confidence, in the event of a roll.

Abingdon noticed it, commented wisely about it, but said that Longbridge wouldn't incorporate it in the proposed Mk2 rear panel, because they knew that the unions would have demanded a revised assembly timing.

BMC Mini Crash Tests (1961)

"Several shots of Mini cars with two crash-test dummies inside it crashing head on into a large concrete block. Some shots in slow motion. Still shot showing the effects on the car crashing at 25, 30 and 38 miles an hour."
