Hello, I need help finding a picture I know I've seen on here of the parcel shelf reinforcement bracket used on Aus cars for the seatbelt mount, does anyone have it or have an Aus car they could take a picture of please :)

Here are a few pictures of my old Aus mini. Not very clear, but I believe it was just a small plate 100x100 with captive nut welded to the underside of the parcel shelf
You can just about see the nut here on this image...
You can see how far back it is here, almost to the window frame

Thanks for the pics, the one I'd seen was in the corners however at the bottom of the C posts.

I think these are what you mean in Stuarts build
1988 Mayfair Rebuild (998)post no 205 on page 14 about the eleventh picture down in that post.
No doubt Stuart will be able to advise you on where to get them from if that is what he has fitted there.

I'm not sure if those are what he means, but I got mine from Somerfords (ALJ360130 and ALJ360120)
https://www.somerfor...at belt bracket
there's a couple of different types depending on what year the car is, I rang them to discuss and they were very helpful
the reel goes on a bracket on the wheel arch down in the rear bins (AFU360040 and AFU360050)
had no idea the Aus versions were different or why

No these are flat plates which bolt to the parcel shelf, completely different to UK brackets.

can't be too difficult to replicate, surely.. bit of nice thick plate metal under the shelf, 1.5mm maybe 2mm, drill a hole, nut the right size welded to the underside.. make the plate as large as feasibly possible to spread the load .. there may be regulations that need to be looked at but at some point the weakest point becomes the spot welds around the back side of the parcel shelf and c pillar anyway
what the MOT man will think of that is anyone's guess lol might be worth asking him first
