Some great colour archive footage of 1950/60/70's F1 cars and drivers in the first of the 8 episodes, including some colour footage of John Cooper and the Cooper Works in Surbiton, with the Cooper Mini van seen towing a trailer with Cooper race car and an early blue Mini seen in the background, parked on the garage forecourt behind the petrol pumps.

Back in the day it was common to see Mini Vans and even Mini saloons towing trailers with a race Mini on the back to race circuits in the UK.

In later years I don't think the MPi Minis were even legally allowed to fit a tow bar for a camping trailer....

I've just finished watching the whole series of Lucky.  I've watched quite a few things about Formula 1 over the years and this series has to be one of the best.  Really interesting getting Bernie's perspective on everything.  There was some great old footage in it too that I'd never seen anywhere else.

I have tried to talk to him at Goodwood several times at either the "Festival" or the "Revival", But he surrounds himself with people to fend off Hoy-Poly.

He is becoming forgotten, which is a shame after all he has done for Motor Racing.  I'd like to put to him, the idea of him building a memorial circuit called Ecclestone that is a double size replica of Brooklands on the acres of scrub land to the north of the firing range at Bisley.

Like the Brooklands of the 1920s, rich young men in their 200mph cars could take a Fortnum's hamper for lunch and make as much noise as they liked instead of annoying the inhabitants of Belgravia on summer evenings.
