thanks Mike

JW Speaker 8700 are one of the best, Holley make a more traditional looking headlight that's very good too.

They appear to be for LHD only. Wrong side dip for UK.

Are these types of sealed LED units actually handed - I though they just projected forward so they could be on either side of the road.  Not even sure if modern cars with LED lights even have the option to change sides?

They have to have a cutoff to avoid dazzling oncoming drivers while lighting potential pedestrians on your side of the road.

If not, MOT failure will be the result.

They both have a flat beam, not the kick up that our old fashioned 7” lights have. Watch the videos on Headlight Revolution.

Stuart I fully agree it is getting bloody stupid. And as for those that at a certain angle look blue totally daft. The other evening while proceeding in an orderly fashion down Seven Hills Road I checked my rear view mirror. A car about four back at some distance had these and due to the rough undulating road appeared to rapidly flash bright blue. I prepared to move over for an emergency vehicle. Then when the car reached the smoother section of road the flashing blue stopped. Hey Ho.

Take their reg and report them. If they can afford and are stupid enough to own a tesla then they should know where to get their car fixed.

Stupid? The headlights are programmable led mapping. It's a software issue that tesla do remotely.

How many Tesla owners are going to do this, do you think?

Progress, not, in my opinion.

Part of the problem is all these completely unnecessary 4x4 sized vehicles with headlights at face height, or the even worse (and hideously disgusting) Juke with it's lights just all over the place like they couldn't decide where to put them
