Whilst stripping my ‘98 shell I came across a substantial red cable (2mm?) with a female spade connector, tucked in behind the headlining approximately above the passenger door. The only cables running up the A-pillar are for the interior light, this red cable is original and taped to the interior light cables.

Could it possibly be a positive feed for an electric Webasto sunroof? I’ve not yet discovered the other end of the cable but it’s staying because it’s original and I’m unsure what I’d actually use it for!

The Rover wiring diagram shows red cable from fuse B7 going to sunroof control unit. I'd post a picture if I knew how 😁

Thanks, that’s prompted me to check the wiring diagrams and I now realise an electric roof is included in the Rover Japan pdf (it’s a JDM Mini), I’d not considered it might be a Japanese market option.

Can anyone confirm that the sunroof switch was roof mounted? I’ll check the feed from B7, it might be that I have a useful high current feed although I’ve not yet thought of anything it might be useful for!
