1995 Rove Mini SPI.  Discovered that the two vacuum lines on the air cleaner were missing and replaced them... manifold was blocked off, must have been some kind of mod.  Engine  idle became smoother.  I checked the other two lines and they looked new, so I left them them alone.  Decided to replace the fuel trap with a new part from Mini Spares and things went south.  The idle become rough and it died on me a few times.  Double checked to make sure green port was going to the ECU and it looked good.  Does the ECU need to be reset i.e. battery disconnected for a few hours, to adjust for the change?  Do I need to let it run for a while until the ECU adjusts? I put the old fuel trap back and everything's fine again... what the hell.  I tested both fuel traps for leaks and there are no issues.  TIG

Yep, fitted correctly. I was thinking the same thing.  I will hit up Mini Spares for a refund.  Thanks
