What are people using to adapt the MPi block to engine stands?

I have an adapter I got along time ago that someone made for older blocks. Can I adapt the generic one to an MPi? Coil mount and alternator mount bolt holes maybe?

Following with interest! There was a guy on eBay a few years ago selling the adapter plates for older engines, nicely powder coated but no good for the Mpi block. He sent me one as just the pipe and plate (welded together) unfinished so that I could make mods to fit an Mpi block before getting it coated. The problem I’m having is that I really have no idea which threaded holes in the block will take the weight of a fully assembled engine and gearbox, and in the meantime I’ve been using an old workmate.

Stu.

Interested to see this in action!

I am about to put my SPi on a stand. Mine was built before my time from scrap, but for an A-series. It works but I always get worried I am going to rip the threads out of the 2 mounting holes it uses. The ones for the Alternator bracket. I try to be really careful when I rotate it!
