I have just been shown the details of a 1968 Mk.2 Cooper 'S' 'Works Recreation' which was auctioned by Historics Auctioneers in May 2022. It was Lot 218.

The reason I want to find the owner is because I did the restoration of this in the mid-1980's and did the Pirelli Classic Marathon in it, but that fact is not mentioned by the auction house. 

I have a lot of additional information about the car together with photos, which would add value for the new owner.

The registration number is UXD725G.

If anyone on here, or on other Mini forums to which any on here also subscribe, could try to find the owner both he and I would be most grateful I'm sure.

Well, I have found the new owner and he is delighted to know that I can add a lot to the history file for the car.

And I have discovered that it is up for auction at Race-Retro 2024 Auction of competition cars. It can now have its earlier competition and ownership history added.

I think the seller will now add the additional comp history and photos which should add a few quid to the bidding.
