I’m helping a friend build a stage rally mk1 mini. We are at the point now (exciting part) where we are deciding on interior, where to place things etc. he wants the traditional look, works dash etc but obviously seat belts etc need to be modern. Things like a helmet net would be useful? But would one fit in a mini!? We’re are keeping the car with carpets in and headlining as he may possibly to the odd road event too.

does anyone have any pics of there rally car for insipiration? Outside and particularly interior shots?

we would be most grateful.

Sorry, first thing I would do is get a copy of your local Motorsport regulations and read them. There are things you must do and other things that can affect how you do things.

re helmets you can get foam boxes that work well.

Thanks guys the car has been built using the blue book to current MSUK regs, it’s more the positioning of things now and to make it aesthetically pleasing as possible. I.e where placement of things are in other cars to get an idea…We want it looking as neat and tidy as possible whilst including everything we need, like trip meter, cut offs, extinguishers etc etc. just looking for any current cars to see how they are built and organised. Thanks
