Hi all,

I'm making a start on the metalwork of my 1974 Clubman saloon project.

I'm pretty certain that the car has been in a front right hand bump at some point in its life, and I'm wondering if this had led to the dash rail being replaced/reattached.

Therefore, I'm trying to figure out if these welds are factory, as they don't look it?

As you can see, the dash rail seems to have been seam welded (rather badly!) at each end, and the support brackets below are tacked in place.

If anyone has any ideas if this is right or wrong, or even any photos of their car's dash rail, that would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Jake

Ah ok, fair enough - thanks for your response!
