Having searched the forum for a while I’m struggling to find an answer,

So basically, brand new wiring loom so suit a centre speedo mk3. All indicators work correctly with LED lamps, LED flasher and also flash with the alarm system so everything is as it should be. Now my problem is the tell tail at the top of the speedo doesn’t light up but everything else works at it should do. This has a LED bulb in it also if that makes any difference

Just to note the tell tail has to cables one for left and right indicators
Any help would be appreciated

LEDs are polarity sensitive so it may need a +ve and -ve feed and the way the Mini wiring is done may not work ...

It could even be the flasher itself. Could be faulty or have the wrong flasher.

Could of course also be the wiring.

Centre speedo, with just one tell tale?

It's bidirectional - when you indicate left the tell tale uses the right indicators as an earth and vice versa. With filament bulbs, not enough current can flow through the dinky tell tale bulb to make the indicators bright enough to be seen. If you replaced the tell tale with a LED it could only ever work in one direction. If it's not working in either it's probably because there's no voltage drop across it because the other LEDs draw so little current.

A fix could be to run the tell tale to earth while putting a diode in both of the existing wires from each side and connecting them to the tell tale's +ve
