Last night I noticed that one of my inline fuse holder were not connected. The spring is bad and the wire pretty much rusted off. I need to replace the fuse holder. It is a black line fuse holder with a 35 amp fuse. I can find the red wire inline fuse holders but not the black ones. I searched the forum and found a post saying that you can change to a blade fuse and that a 35 amp Lucas should be replaced with a 25 amp blade.
Does this sound correct?

Lots of black inline fuse holders online or do you mean black wire? If its the wire just put some heat shrink over it?
Yes I would put a smaller amp blade fuse in as they are more robust than the bulbs.
I believe there is a table somewhere on here.

Buy the fuse holders without wire already crimped on. The colour doesn't matter anyway.
15a blade would be closer to original specification.

Under the hood, by the carb, there are 4 fuses. 2 res wires and 1 black. When I took out the fuse from the black wire it was 35 a. I’m digging around trying to find out what’s on this circuit
