Hi Guys,

i know you probably laugh but just bought a Moke for the south of france where we live.

Does anyone know why the VIN number is not recognised by car parts garages in the uk? the car has a V5 and was imported into the uk.

and

Does anyone have any experience in importing aussie Mokes into france as i heard it wasn't possible or recognised in France where the UK and Portuguese ones are.

Any help or feedback is valuable.

Thanks

Gav

Thanks again Shaun.

Hi Shaun/Noobies, I would just like to say pat yourself on the back as the site you gave me was amazing and sorted out dramas with a UK COC i would of

had in France because they are garlic eating surrender monkeys and make my life more difficult than it needs to be in the last 30 yrs of living in this s**t hole..

Thank you very much.

Hey nice one !

The Body Number (sometimes referred to as a VIN, though, that's not correct) pre-dates the ISO VIN system.

You'll find some Body Numbers for the Californian models here;-
