Short Bonnet Straps

Help!!

Need to put a bonnet strap on but unsure how to fit.  On which part of the car do I fix the buckle and strap.  Have offered up to the car looked at both ways and confused.  Thanks  Pics would help.

Here's a photo of the strap fitted to one of my cars, buckle on the bonnet, strap on the slam panel. I've also put a small piece of foam tape behind it to stop rubbing / vibrations against the bonnet. Hope this helps.

Like yours up into fourth.  Mine has an early grille.

Like yours up into fourth.  Mine has an early grille.

If you do like I did, just make sure you profile the lower metal strap cover to the grille shape or it will distort the grille and be careful what length screws you use, if they're too long they can foul the front panel behind.
