Car cut out other day.  Found problem  Brass exit tail on pump has come away presume broken.  Does not look easy to get to pump to replace unit.  Best way of attacking please as I do not have a lift so working from the top.  Is it best in the air and work from below.  Thanks

Been thinking and talking to others.  Going to fit electric to rear subframe and leave old pump in place as twin carbs fitted and space very tight.

can still do from top with twin carbs, jsut make sure engine is cold and if you have an ultimate engine staedy to thermostat housing remove that. just use 9/16 ring not that hard. would be more worried about brass tail in g.box but at least other side of web to all gears except final drive

Tail is still fitted in fuel pipe so no problems that way
