Hello

I just got back the cylinder head from the machine shop. They installed new guides and grinded the seats.

I put the valves in and I noticed that the rocker end of the valves are at different heights.

First thought was that they made the grinding in different depths but then I measured some valves and they differ in overall length.

I tried to take a photo. Maybe you can see the second valve from the right is the higher. Viewing from the chamber side the valves seat uniformly.

This is a 850 engine with the original head.

Could this difference make any issue ?

Provided the valves heads aren't too recessed into the combustion chamber, I can't see it being and issue and the rockers will take up any difference once set correctly.

As it is an 850cc, it is not like you are going for high power engine build where everything matters and contributes to power output.
