Hello,

Can you use the live wire from the battery lead on the solenoid to power accessories like gauges, usb, and radio etc safety or would it be better to run a lead straight from the battery???

Thankyou for your help

You can use the solenoid, or there is a permanant unfused terminal on the fuse box also.

Which ever way you wire it makemsure you have an inline fuse to protect the car.

I would also checkmthe charging capability of the alternator.

Back in the day I had a large stereo system with amplifiers, big air horns and spotlights(like a football pitch) and I had to upgrade the capacity of the alternator.
