Good evening from Charlotte NC. Recently I have been CAD modeling the space frame of my 2015 Zcars Monte Carlo. A bit of background, the previous owner was in the middle of modifying this chassis to receive a Honda J-series V6 and cut out a few tubes (highlighted yellow) for the additional space. This caused some of the other structural tubes to shift and sag. My intentions is to revert this Zcar back to factory where it would receive a Honda K20a. In order to verify my measurements are correct, I was wondering if anyone had a copy of the chassis’ blue prints? I have been to ZCars a few times in the distant past and the jigs they were using to make the frames were ok but not great. Getting it reasonably close will probably be as good as they were made originally. I would knock up a connecter about 3 ~ 4 inches long that was a snug fit inside the rear horizontal cut bar get some suitable tube and install that onto the connector make it about 2 or 3 inches shorter, this bar is just used to get the tube correctly pointing at the remainder of the tube on the other side, I suspect that you may need to portapak the diagonal to get everything to line up. When the tubes are correctly aligned then weld in some temporary tubes to keep everything right. then it's time to remove one tube at a time and replace it all the time making sure it hasn't moved. One by one do all the tubes. The suspension has a lot of adjustment to sort any minor misaligment , this would need to be anyway even if the frame has not been messed about with.

 

Chris from ZCars did not give out any frame dimensions or blueprints, so unless an owner of which there are very few you may be on your own,

 

I personally don't think it is a differcult thing to do just take your time
