Hi,

I'm looking to give my car a cafe racer look and had hoped to find a classic style sunstrip but it's proving difficult. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Do you mean the vinyl strip that goes across the top of the windscreen? If so you can get them on Ebay or Amazon (you can even add your own text)

I don’t want to reignite the cafe racer debate, but historically there’s no such thing as a cafe racer car, it was all motorbikes. Yes I get it, some people dress their cars up in that style, and that’s fine.

Plenty of minis had sun strips back in the day, but it is more 70s boy racer, than cafe racer, in my humble opinion…

Use Electrical tape. Otherwise you will not be able to see out the actual front screen....

On the other hand. There was a guy on e.bay doing g Leyland badge in sun strips about a year ago.

They did look alright but said he was only supplying for mini 7 racing and hill climb cars due to the visual restriction....

probably not so bad if it's a tinted strip rather than opaque vinyl

my volvo has one as standard, dark blue at the top then sort of fades to completely see through over about 6"

then again the windscreen is about 3 times bigger lol on a mini you'd want more like 3"

Sunstrips must not be within 10mm of the swept area of the screen for mot purposes.
No doubt the police will know this money maker too.
