I am sure I posted this question previously but now cannot find it!

The rubber on my clutch pedal has perished so I bought a new one from Minispares but however I try it will not stay on. I can fix it in place but after a couple of presses it just slides off. I have made sure all sides are in the rubber slots - any advice from you experts would be much appreciated (it's a '62 mk I)

Very best wishes

Mike

Thanks folks - evostick it is, then. Why didn't I think of that?!

Best wishes (and looking forward to better weather...and the shows)

A bit of work to get on, but unlike the others, they don't come off too easy.

They stay on ok without glue on one of mine but another just slide off after a couple of presses as you have found. It would seem that if there is any moisture (or brake fluid from a fualty M/C) then they will slide of in use. Try fully cleaning and drying pedal both back and front.

Having completed a nut and bolt resto of my Elf I've managed some 300 miles and my Minispares Mk1 rubber is in bits.  One of these I think. Costs pennies I guess but it's frustrating.

So I've sought out some 60s-70s NOS items from Ebay and will give them a go this summer.  Otherwise it'll need to be some sort of alloy ones I guess.

if you do go with metal one's I'd try and find a set with rubber inserts or some other sort of non-slip surface, when your shoes are wet they'll be slipping about all over the place

there may even be a legal / MOT fail thing about that ? there should be, anyway

if you can find a set that isn't ruined by having SPARCO written on them of course
