Hello,
Rebuilding my engine currently, all going well.
I have triple checked part numbers etc and currently have a 998 A+ block, 998 A+ crank going onto a early 1963 gearbox. The original engine was a 1963 A series 850cc original to the car.
Gone to fit the primary gear (the early one so that it meshes with the early box). I was led to believe this was all that was required?
However the primary gear is tiny vs the later one, it barely goes over the nose of the crank? I thought it was only 1275s that had a different size? Very confused!
Hoping someone can assist?
thank you
