Dash Insulation

Before I start to rebuild the interior I want to put some insulation back under the dash to cut out some noise.
I assume that noise reduction and insulation products have improved since the car was built in the 80s so what does anyone recommend. I assume at least some self adhesive foil backed foam would be an improvement. Probably needs to be adhesive given the number of hoses, cables and wires that need to be cut around.
Any suggestions or links? Thanks.
Looking forward to rebuilding the interior soon!!

The nearest thing to the original foam/rubber I've found is Dodomat Barrier Pro.
It also doesn't have logos all over it which I prefer.
It's not cheap though.

I made this last week, i haven't tried it in the car yet but i think it will fit (im not to sure on the top left bit as its not there) I just traced the old one out as its falling apart and i will do the same to the top inner sound insulation - Its 10mm closed cell foam, 3m x 1m for £44 on ebay

bitumen based sound deadener that sticks to the panel to stop resonance and vibration.
MLV (mass loaded vinyl) to stop the noise coming through, ideal would be on both sides of the bulkhead, under bonnet and behind dash down to the floor.

look for same stuff used in camper vans. self adhesive bitumen panels and self adhesive foam. can get cheaper stuff than branded dodo mat and dynamat that work just as well when applied correctly

Well all done. Another job that I don't want to do again. Used a combination of products as noted above and some foil tape to join everything together. Seemed to work quite well.
Now to fit the carpets and rest of the interior!
