Just trying to think of a decent option for the front seats (might still just stick with the originals and refurb them)

Thinking back I'm sure it was an old 3 dooor civic I had (EG variant) where the front seats leaned forwards a bit then slid forwards for rear access.  then when you push it back it slid back and clicked into place and leaned back and clicked into place (if that makes sense)

that seems like the ideal setup for cars with limited rear access and it avoids the problem of headrests hitting the roof

without having to lean it forwards and then use the slide mechanism yourself I mean, most seats can do that but it's a nuisance

can anyone think of any other car that has this same setup that I can search on ebay for their seats ?

Metros used to have these seats, early ones, not sure about the later ones

I fitted a pair of seats from an old Ford Puma to my last Mini. They did what you want and were very comfy.

I’ve got seats from a Fiat Seicento in mine. They do what you want, weigh little more than the Mini seats, but were a bit of a fiddle to fit.
Very comfortable and, from the driver’s seat, I can let passengers get in the back.

All my three door cars since 2003 have had the tilt & slide function you're after, I think it's pretty much ubiquitous. Don't think I had any three door car before then.

R50/R53 BMW MINI front seats fold and slide forwards for rear access and reset when the seat back is brought back up.

I am guessing the later BMW MINIs do the same. There are many different trims and seat shapes depending on the model.

ie. One/Cooper/Cooper S

thanks all, I'm really liking those seicento ones though, a clean look without trying to be racy and still a bit of side bolster, might have to have a little hunt around

looks like you've chopped into the cross member there, not necesesarily a problem, just wondering have you got any pics of that being cut or after the cutting ? just for an idea of what you did

I got 2 complete interiors for £30 and £50, respectively, back in 2018. Looking at EBay, just now, prices have risen.
