I am in the process of re-bushing my primary gear and would like to take the opportunity to machine out the slight wear on the (O/D) diameter where the clutch housing oil seal sits.

I have had no luck in searching for a dimensioned drawing for this part (DAM8888) can anybody help either in providing a drawing or min /max specifications of this diameter.

Out of interest what are you rebushing with, the original Deva bushes or the later composition bushes.

The original Deva Bushes had clearances of 0.0030" to 0.0045", however, for the Oilite bush, you're really on your own here. If you'd like a Deva bush, you can drop me a PM or AC Dodd I think also does them.

If the Front Bush you bought was an original replacement pressed in type Bush, these ran the same clearances as above.

Thanks Spider, I’ve given the oilite an additional 1.5 thou clearance (material choice was in response to Designers question) - my original post was to ask the diameter and tolerance of the clutch seal sealing surface.

That I don't have I'm sorry.
