Yet another idea for helping to secure a Mini. Not enough on its own, but adds a modest visible deterrent to whatever other measures you might also take...

Clearly the simplest of cutting tools can overcome this. But the opportunistic hoolies who make up the bulk of the threat to a car parked away from home in the daytime likely won't be equipped.

Soon enough the fact that this car is manual will be enough for the young theif who would steal a car to be put off as everyone seams to only sit their Automatic drivers test these days... .

Manual cars will be a thing of the past...

Never even mind double clutching.

It is unlikely that a feral likely to steal your car even has a licence so the shifter is unimportant.
I like security that is hignly visible as well as hidden means of immobilising the engine. You will not stop a professional regardless of what you fit, you will deter the opportunist and the spoilt brats who think the world owes them something.

at least visible detterants stop opportunist damaging your car before finding out you have a hidden imobilisor. also fitted trackers on mine with pay as you go sims. i know they can use signal blockers but at least you may find it if the worst happens
