Hi all,

I have the Minispares flywheel puller. Bought several years ago and only previously used on a non-verto clutch. It came with the two sets of bolts.

I now have a 1990 Cooper engine which has a Valeo/Verto clutch assembly on it, dated from 2003. Neither bolt (coarse or fine) screws into the flywheel by hand. Obviously don't want to force it and risk damaging the thread,

Anyone run into this, or any suggestions?

Cheers!

The Threads in the Verto are M10 x 1.5 ('standard' M10), which should be the courser threaded bolts. Perhaps if you've a known M10 nut you could check ? The Threads in the flywheel do get gummed up too.

I'm pretty certain I've pulled a couple that have had imperial threads. I've got the KAD puller and the bolts that came with it (metric - I think!) didn't fit at least one of the flywheels I've got (and they're all Verto).

I've not pulled many and it's definitely possible the early ones (or others) had imperial threads.

Every verto I have removed have been metric along with having a different PCD.

I remember having to get a new puller for my early Metro as nothing fitted.

Cheers everyone - M10 x 1.5 is correct - got one from the hardware store and it fit fine.
