Thought I'd share this with you all.

I HATE RATTLES :-)

I went on a mission this weekend and my mini now have ZERO rattles, here's what I fixed and how:
-Speedo Cable tapping against Carb = Zip Tide to Bulk Head
-Heater ON/OFF mech rattling = used epoxy to glue rubber onto pipes to stop rubbing then zip tide pipes togeather (heater out/in and pipe to heated manifold).
-Heater in Cabin rattling = Found the rattle was caused by pins at the back which locates onto little brackets rattling, put vacumm pipe over threads, hooked back in and bolted up
-Phillip stereo (original) under dash = Slightly loose if the the base of dash, again used vacumm tube but this time cut two lengths the depth of the casing, sliced the pipe down the middle and slid it over the top of either side where the top of the unit meets dash, nice tight fit now and cushioned by the rubber tube.

No more rattles, hooray, nice to hear the engine without any additional items vibrating at their irritatingly difference resonant frequencies!!

Recomend you try it, makes your drive that bit more pleasurable!!

lol I have the original phillips stereo still fitted, it plays songs at 3/4 speed and the speaker make it sound like the noise is 50 miles away :-) Seems a shame to upgrade it wen it's been in so long but it is truely aweful! I'll wait till i get bored of engine sounds!

if u have original rover speakers in the rear parcel shelf you'll be amazed how good they sound with a nice sony head unit up front!! that boot space makes for a good bass box, even with the std speakers!!
