Oil Pressure And Oil Capillary Gauges From The Same Bulb

I was wondering if they could be fed from the same capillary bulb using a T-piece at the back of the gauge binnacle?

I'd say no. They both rely on expansion in a fixed volume, so one would detract from what the other records at the gauge end and add to it at the sensor end.

Certainly not. You would render both useless.

Hopefully an electric oil temperature sensor won't be too big. I've seen some and they look almost the same size as the 52mm gauge.

Thank you both. When I actually thought about it. It was a bit silly.

The large sensors are for oil pressure. Temperature sensors should still be small.

Mechanical/capilliary sensors aren't small!! There not 52mm either but are much larger than electric senders.

I'd like to fit both an oil pressure and oil temperature mechanical gauges to my Mini.
I was wondering if they could be fed from the same capillary bulb using a T-piece at the back of the gauge binnacle?
I should add. Mechanical oil pressure gauges are connected just by a hose. The temp ones have a bulb.
temp ones need to be in moving oil pressure don’t. I would not be looking to fit in the same place.

I would not do the sump one. Retrosport do a filter housing that can take a few different fittings for temp senders.
