HI all,

I have fitted my group 2 arches after alot of trials and problems BUT -

There is a gap on the LH front wheel arch that is not there on the RH one. As far as I can see I have fitted them the same.

See pictures -

My questions are -

1 - can I heat the wheel arch up and mould it better or is the gap too big? (fibreglass)

2 - Are the front arches actually fitted in the correct place? are they too far forward?

3 - I have used rivnuts - Should i buy another set and fit them correctly or better (along with more holes in the wings?

Most aftermarket Mini arches vary in quality and fit and I doubt you have done anything wrong. The gap does not look too bad to me in your photo. I don't think heating a fibreglass arch will help and could make things worse.

Maybe a thicker rubber sealing strip will help take up the small gap?

looks like l/h arch too far forward but having fitted these myself know they are a pia had to get first set replaced by supplier totally out of shape compared to second set. these fitted but lots of trial and error before i drilled the new front wings. looking at cars at shows very few are exact.
