Hello, I've had a search but haven't got anywhere, suddenly realised when I fitted my door check straps that the bit of the dash lininh at the end which glues to the A pillar would have the door check strap poking through..?? What's the solution here? Thanks in advance

I think, that before most of us here can help, we will definitely need a photo of the dash lininh.

Thanks aye it wasn't obvious how to attach a photo at first, had to come off the mobile version. I don't have the dash lining here to hand but it sits against the inner wing here then a flap glues onto the A post.. the check strap would be poking right through the liner, I suppose maybe you just cut round the big hole for the check strap? Wouldn't look very good but I don't see any other option?

depends on the dash liner I guess, but the fit of the standard ones usually leaves a void behind it for the check strap (i.e. the liner hides the check strap)

You know what I've realised what the problem is, these cars were meant to have air vents which mostly hide the ugly check straps poking through! Can't visualise how the standard ones could incorporate a void KTS, ill need to keep trawling the classic shows, been doing that but most cars seem to have a full dash panel fitted. Thanks for your replies though, cheers,

Nigel
