My Mini: 1963 Austin Cooper

The interior of this car was trashed and smells not so good.  I want to redo the entire interior, starting with the seats.  The rear seat back (squab) is actually a kind of shredded hair or excelsior glued to the metal of the setback.  The vinyl was glued in place on top of that. No foam.  There is no seat back frame.

The seat base is a piece of foam covered with vinyl that I assume was secured with glue as well.  There is nothing to which one would attach new vinyl.

Newton Commercial sells a squab frame 1960-70, but cannot tell me how it might be fitted to my early car.  They suggested that  I ask a forum.  The same holds true for the seat base.  I checked the topics section here but found no answers.  Has anyone had this same experience and what did you do to resolve it?  Thanks very much
