Are these usually lock wired in place with stainless steel safety wire?

I’m fitting the Minispares poly covers having finally given up with standard rubber covers which fail in a silly short time,

I've found with that style of boot, they do need something to hold them in place. At full tilt, these style boots can slip off.

I’ve experienced the same when trying to fit them … time to dig out the lock wire!
