Eg:
Samco Silicone Vacuum Tubing
SKU: SAMVT3B2WBRG
Bore Size 3mm
If so, with success?
Do the alternative hoses need to be cut to the same length as the standard ones?

I had fitted the Samco vac hoses
I swapped back to the hard standard / elbow hoses today
To see if the Samco hose vacuum had been sending incorrect messages to the ECU
No change
No better
No worse

I have used those silicone lines for years now. Good to know that once installed, you really don't have to worry about them cracking, melting or aging like the originals. Oddly, I did just have a fuel trap fail on me. It started to leak from the top "seam" and leave a fuel residue on the throttle body near by.

Eek! - Mines still on the original fuel trap, feel like I should start replacing things like this due to age but it appears to be fine and every new part I buy is rubbish!
I've ran silicone vac pipes for 4 years after many a cracked elbow causing all the usual odd issues they do.

I have not ordered from the above...but soooo want to. The rubber used these days are absolutely terrible! Everything they produce sound like super top notch.

I replaced all the vacuum hoses on my Spi with silicone ones and have had no issues since. Bought from eBay, just made sure I had the right internal diameter. I'm currently restoring my car back to original spec as close as I can and when I source an airbox (If anyone has one going please PM me!!) I/m going to replace the vacuum hoses with the coloured ones to get as close a match as possible.

I'll never go back to plastic again, MerlinMotorSport supply everything Samco. I just cut the roll to the best line possible away from any heat areas which typically burn through the plastic pipes.
