https://www.minispar.../AZX1818MS.aspx should do you.

..unless it's been swapped for an electric pump.

I bought a replacement mechanical pump from said retailer and found it a bit lacking.

Firstly it developed too much pressure and overrode the float valve, leaking fuel everywhere and secondly the outlet port pointed directly at the exhaust downpipe making the fuel pipe pass dangerously close to it , in my oppinion, not like my origional where both the inlet and the outlet ports pointed away from the exhaust.

I abandoned the mechanical unit, fitted a blanking plate to the engine port and used an electric unit, solving the problems mentioned above.

If you want a genuine replacement then www.bullmotifminispares.co.uk has got them. A bit more expensive but should not give you any problems. Sorry cannot get link to work.

May I suggest that you obtain a copy of the Haynes Manual for classic Minis 69-95. Get a hard copy, not this new fangle electronic version they seem to be doing nowadays. There is one on fleabay for £10.95

or on fleabay

Mini Workshop Manual 1959-1976: AKD 4935: Saloon, Countryman and Traveller, Clubman, Estate and 1275 GT, Van, Pick-Up and Moke, Cooper and Cooper 'S' (Official Workshop Manuals) Paperback – Illustrated, 1 Jan. 1976
by British Leyland Ltd (Contributor) for £35.00

Moss also do the "genuine" kind (probably this one, but double-check). I have one on my car and it works fine.

Sure there used to be one where you could rotate the hose couplings, like the leccy pump.

If you might be contemplating an exhaust manifold swap, then the solid state leccy pump could be a good option. Best mounted below the fuel tank so it's gravity fed.

Hi Nemo,

If you PM me your details, I've got a fuel pump from my 998 you can have.

The pump was a replacement, and has only been used for about 2-3 hours. I pulled the 998 not long after fitting the new pump.

Give me a shout!

Cheers,

Matt
