Hey Everyone

This is my first topic on the forum. My mini is a 1982 HL Works Replica with custom light bar with 4 1960's original Lucas Lion lights 2 fogs and 2 spots. the engine is a 998 with 12G202 998 Cooper head that has been ported and polished. The carb is 1.5 inch SU on Howley manifold i used to have a 25 / 36 DCD Webber twin choke down draft carb. the body is HL shell with MK1 rear light conversion custom flat bootlid the doors have white works copy squares with the famous number 37 (Monte Carlo) and i have just purchased a 1960's works roofrack from ebay. The Suspension has had a lot of work done it has ajusable front tie rods and hi - los with lowerd up rated shocks. The interior has the back seat removed and has been replaced with a custom made rear cross brace bar which has been painted. It has Recaro recliners with 4 point Securon harness, the dash board has been custom made.

i was behind you one day in my sisters fiat scicento, going through warwick town centre past the shops, i think thats anace lil mini you have, looks really authentic considering its a late type shell, done a great job on it, love the rear lights, mulling that conversion over on my car, it sounded great too!

Thanks

That is the nicest thing anybody has said about my car i bought it off an old lady in warwick it was standard all that it has had done on the bodywork is

New driver side floor
2 new A Panels
2 Newly rebuilt doors
rear vallace

The paint job was sparayed on my drive way by my dad who used to spray cars years ago i was goin to keep it all original but it looked naff so i went down the retro rally route and i spent many hours at gaydon motor museum looking at the works cars and looking at many dvd's and books

It is an 1982 Hl shell with group 2 works replica wheel arches early alumium minlite wheels the brakes are now mk2 ford fiesta calipers with 7.9 inch disc and metro turbo drive flanges I used to have the 998 copper brakes with the 7 inch discs thay were not very good

If you would like to know more about my car pop over to warwick on wednesday night at the mill right arms emscote road 8pm onwards in the back room called "the snugg

Thankyou very much for your comments many thanks
