I am having issues with the clutch seals of my 1999 John Cooper Works classic mini. I have already changed the master cylinder twice, once with a supposedly original master cylinder, a 2nd with a non-original, and then have also used a repair kit. Every time, the seals are getting eaten up.

I have also used DOT3 and DOT4, and both have the same result in some of the master cylinder change.

I am know thinking that it might be where I buy them from?

Does anybody have a suggestion? Or maybe a supplier recommendation?

The same issue has happened with the brake pump aswell....

My 1996 car has been off the road for 6 weeks with inoperative clutch. The garage replaced the master cylinder with a plastic one from Minispares, which repeatedly failed within 10 miles. He suspected bad seals, or an extra washer causing failure. Replaced with a cylinder for an MG, and the flexible hose bit which looked shot. I too am now worried the brakes could be next. Hopefully I won't be pushing it out of a traffic jam again
