Hello all,

I've got a mini which has been around 12 years in the making...A fast road / track car. The time has finally come around to finishing it off!

I am seeking recommendations for a good rolling road to help set up & tune my engine properly, in the North East of England.

The rough engine specs are as follows;

  • MED 1330cc
  • Stage 4 head
  • Specialist Components Injection System with 50mm T/B & Typhoon 2 ECU
  • Kent 286 cam
  • 1.5 Hi-lift rockers
  • Close Ratio S/C 4 speed box
  • Super light Flywheel
  • Lightened and balanced crank, rods etc

I was hoping to contact someone who is familiar with both mini's and the Specialist components injection system / software.

If anyone has any advice, whether it be good or bad, I'm all ears and would very much like to hear from you.

The car idles, runs & drives - just needs a pro to get it 100%

Thanks!

If you can get it over to the north west i’d 100% recommendChris @ EFI Parts, knows his stuff and can trust him completely!

Had a few friends a series (sc efi) cars tuned on my recommendation there, all with high praise.

Knows the sc tune / scs delta, along with knowing what knock is, unlike many cowboys.

RS tuning in Leeds sorted my 1460 turbo running specialist components set up. It runs great and get plenty of track use. I have never had any head gasket issues which is a credit to how it's been tuned.
Your right about finding someone who has experience with the delta ecu and it's well worth travelling to find that person.

The delta ecu operators are few and far between
Use this website to look for your local operator and save yourself some money

Thank you very much, that is excellent to know. Yes indeed modified classics are 100% a different ball game, very easy to get wrong and damage I would imagine!
