Hi all
I am looking to buy the 12x16 rosepetal wheels and I don't know what arches to get for it. I'm running 7.5 discs on the front and later drums with the spacer. Any help appreciated.

Not many answers yet as arches are often a question of personal taste and what works with the particular style of your car. Plus cost of installation as some are easier to fit than others unless you can do it yourself?

Also depends exactly how much of the wheel you want to cover - personally I like to see the wheels flush to a small amount of "poke" but some feel the wheels should be fully covered and I think that is what is strictly required legally?

I have a set of what used to be called "Wood and Pickett Deluxe" (as they extend under the bumper at the rear) which I think are/were the nicest looking arches but they fit to the arch and and may not work with high offset wheels where wing clearance is required. Not sure they are easily obtainable now  - They are in my garage waiting on the right car/wheel combo......

I had a racy styled mini a while ago which had "Group 5" arches which I also liked the particular shape (but not so keen on the visible fixings) and they were a bit wide for my personal liking of flush/slight poke with the wheels I had at the time

My two current cars have "Wood and Pickett standard" which I quite like as the fixings aren't visible and standard Rover arches which are OK and cheap to buy/fit but not very stylish respectively;  my current project will have either "Miglia" or "Group 5" to cover -7 offset wheels, just need to offer them up to see which work best

Sorry not much direct help

... 12x16 ...

I'm assuming the 16 is a typo .. otherwise good luck finding tyres! ;) (Even tyres for 6" rims might be a challenge)

I agree with Mark, arches really are a question of taste, and a whole lot depends on the offset of the wheels.

I am running a set of 10 x 6 Ultralights and much like you, I'm running 7.5 discs on the front and later drums with the spacer on the rear.

I had a set of Wood & Picket arches fitted, and whereas they looked good (without the visible fixings) the ABS material they were made from resulted in issues with fitment. They required quite a lot of heatgun treatment to get them in the right shape, and with an enormous amount of fettling, I still couldn't get all four to sit on the body right.

With the W&P arches, there was a minimal, albeit, pleasing amount of poke, which did not cause me any issues, with the MOT man or plod. Unfortunately I lost an arch during some spirited driving - (upon full suspension compression, the wheel contacted the arch flare mating face and pulled it loose, and it ended up in a bush in the middle of nowhere)

Through some trial and error, I switched over to a fibreglass group 2 arch produced by a specialist GRP firm ( I cannot for the life of me remember their name I'm afraid)  These are really well made, and required much less fettling, and a were a much simpler fit than the W&P arches  (I used riv-nuts into the body) and I have been pleased with the resulting fit, and small amount of poke.

I can put some pictures up on the site when I get home if that would help, I also have the wider versions kicking around in the garage.

Cheers,

Matt

They did produce a wider group 2 arch which looks similar to the "Group 2 Race" arch on the Mini Sport website, but with the width of the wheel and the offset, the wheels sat within the arch and didn't

I'm just in the process of fettling the crud I found under my standard plastic arches to fit group 2s. The standard arches were pop riveted so have not been removed in over at least a decade. This has resulted in a bit of rot, as anything that got in there stayed in there. We'll be fitting these with nut rivets for ease of future maintenance. I bought the Huddersfield Mini Spares versions as they line up with the existing holes in the car. The wheels will be 5x12 Superlights. Not sure of offset but looking for a 'full' arch, which the guys at the shop reckon this set up will give me.
