I could go and dig out my thread gauges and a set of callipers, but would anyone know the thread on the head of an MPI gearshift to enable my bone idleness?

Camp Freddie is British racing green, I  hate the gear shift knob with a passion, so a 14 pool ball will be drilled and tapped as a replacement (all stock parts removed go in a box as I would always do with a classic).

Possibly the knob search is an accurate descriptor, sorry! Looks like I have to (and have just ordered) a full set of balls. If anyone would like one drilled and tapped (apart from no 14 green stripe) then please pm me for a classic 2 1/4” ball drilled and tapped for a mini gearshift either dead on or angled.

To be just as lazy as Raggie, " 5/16" UNC " would have been less key strokes,,,,

Finally got to it today, No 14 green stripe pool ball drilled, tapped and installed. Looks far better than the original sticky leatheralike unit (naturally stored in the ‘original bits box’) and really fills the hand nicely. White ball with a green stripe on a green mini with white stripes - me gusta.

Insight into how they make quality pool balls though - when drilling into the white bit I hit depth and the dust turns green, they must be cleverly two-part solid resin rather than as I’d naively thought surface coloured. Utterly useless information, but then I do love utterly useless information.

Weird idea to use a Pool ball.

Now, here is an utterly useless bit of information.

if you used a golf ball, with Trump on it, 5 years ago.

Useless, because in 6 months every one will have forgotten him.
