hi all

what size spot welder arms do I need to comfortably do the outer sills? ive got a TECNA® 7900 - Portable Hand Spot Welder

with the current 125mm arms I cant get over the door step. will 250mm arms work or will i need 300mm or 500mm arms?

I'm sure someone has done this before.

If you have the side panels on, it's a waste of time thinking about it. You can't get to the section behind the panels when they are installed. Therefore you might as well just MIG weld the whole length or get a single sided spot welder.

You will need different shaped arms for this task. The original arms is to close to each other for this operation.

I was watching this video below

It looks like he has an other machine where the mounting "points" of the arms are farther from each other

I use these 20" offset arms for doing sills on my old Sealey spot welder. You obviously still can't weld within the rear bins unless the quater panels are removed.
