Hi All,

I could do with someone else's opinion, I have taken the cylinder head off the mini and where the cylinder head studs are there is oil at the bottom of them all. It was quite black, is this usual?

The studs have had a helicoil in the past, which you can see, I think they look secure and strong.

Am I worrying about nothing? There was no oil in the water, or cylinders and she had decent compression so I don't think there was anything wrong. Other than the low oil pressure issue I am trying to track down, hence the question about the oil in the studs.

Thanks for any guidance as always.

The studs aren't near any oilways, it's most likely from the last time it was assembled, though a little oil is desirable, it's likely the last person was a little heavy handed with it.
