My 1275GT has an A+ engine and has started losing coolant from the radiator side of the engine, the water seems to accumulate on the top of the timing cover before running down the cover onto the floor, initially I thought it was the water pump so replaced this along with the thermostat housing gasket. Before I replaced the water pump the leak was worse when the engine was off, replacing the pump has made little difference.

Grateful for any suggestions of where to look next, I should add that I have checked around the cylinder head where it meets the block and that is all dry, there is no water in the oil and the car is running well.

Bypass hose?Steve..

Should have mentioned no bypass hose. Its really difficult to see where the water is leaking from, are ther any core plugs in that area?

Early A+ had a blanking plug installed in the head where the bypass hose would have been. Does yours have this? If so, possibly leaking.

Can't see one but it would make sense as that appears to be where the water is coming from, I will check tomorrow during the day.
